Job Overview
We offer both hybrid and fully remote positions for senior, supervisor, and manager-level candidates eager to focus on Trust and Estate Returns and Consulting. This role will primarily involve working with our trust and estate clients, as well as high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for managing multiple engagements
- Prepare and review intricate estate fiduciary income tax returns, including the decedent's final individual tax return
- Assess fiduciary accounting for trusts and estates
- Deliver tax planning and consulting services to high-net-worth clients regarding estate and individual income taxes and wealth preservation
- Conduct research and provide consultation on varied estate, gift, and trust-related matters, including trustee and beneficiary issues, generation-skipping tax, and wealth transfer planning
- Identify and nurture opportunities within existing client relationships, while also engaging with prospective clients
- Analyze estate planning documents, such as wills, codicils, and trust instruments, to ensure appropriate asset and liability treatment for tax purposes
- Formulate post-mortem tax-saving strategies for estate accounts
- Supervise and guide a team of tax specialists in delivering tax services
- Engage in tax research and planning, while preparing and reviewing complex 1040, 1041, 706, and 709 returns.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s/MBA with an active CPA or JD focused on Trust and Estate
- Recent experience in public accounting or estate law
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in preparing and reviewing fiduciary income tax returns
- Proficient knowledge in trust, estate, and gift tax return preparation and trust accounting
- Exceptional presentation, client-facing, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
- Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines
Qualifications
- Current or recent public accounting or estate law experience
- Strong understanding of estate planning, tax law, and fiduciary accounting principles

Compensation And Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges based on experience, falling between \(65,000 and \)90,000. These salary ranges apply to applicants within our primary geographic area, with adjustments considered for applicants located outside of this area.
